Organising a process is easy to realise in this way. The only thing needed
are the services of all relevant (separated) aspects. They can made responsible
for the management (adminstration, control) of all objects related to the
process.Also an interface is needed for the communication between the process and the outside world.
And last but not least, a 'co-ordinating platform' is needed to facilitate the co-operation of the above components in a way that recreates the original process.
Let's have a look to the resulting structure of such a way of composing
a model. The following picture results:
- at the inside one can find servers that provide the necessary functionality, they provide services to the objects concerned;
- at the outside there are clients that serve as interface between process and the outside world, they distinguish between processes/tasks;
- in between acts a co-ordinating intermedium, providing the necessary co-ordination at the moment of an occurring event.
When we compare this structure with the architecture resulting from
the separation of organisation dependent elements and organisation
independent elements, we see a striking simularity.
One may conclude that the IMA approach is an effective elaboration for the clusters that were found, towards fully mutual independent subsystems in accordance with a functional client/server architecture.
