An interface knows objects, actions and events.

Proto-6 interfaces are standardized and they use also standardized object viewers. Therefore no objects are seen at the interface when it opens. The only things you see are action buttons and event-signals.

One of the Workorder Scheduler task interfaces (the default one) is a good example of a standardized interface.

You can see two event-signals: the there's-no-mail (green) and the there's-mail (red when signalling) 'lights'.

There are two kinds of action buttons: with Your Queue and Work Order Types you can open the corresponding standardized object viewers, and with the others you can perform several task actions.

The Mail actions are discussed in another illustration.

The Pin, Hold and Swap actions have nothing to do with Workorder Scheduling as such. Pin changes the default desktop position of the interface window. Hold and Swap store the active task, with all its objects in the present state, in its workorder file. Hold goes on with Next Task Control, while Swap checks for the first scheduled workorder in the workorder queue for the resource that is executing this process.

The other action buttons apply to the task's objects, so lets open them first.....

The Workorder Queue is empty.
All Workorder Types, which the resource that executes the process is allowed to perform, are shown. When you click one it becomes active.

Let's click on a Workorder Type and then put it on the first place in the Workorder Queue by clicking the Add First button of the interface. Of course you could also choose Add Last, which is meaningful when there are some orders in the queue.

Click on a workorder in the Workorder Queue to make it active.
You can delete this order from the queue by clicking the Delete button on the interface. You can move it forward in the queue by clicking the up-arrow, and move it backward by clicking the down-arrow.
